Covid-19 and Jim Walker Photography

I hope this finds all of you well despite the pandemic that seems to be ravaging the country at this time. I have faith that this too shall pass and most of us will return to business as usual. Unfortunately, Governor Mills (D-ME) has ordered all non-essential businesses to close. As much as I hate to admit it, photography is a non-essential business. What began as a very good year in January and February soon ceased as I had to cancel scheduled sessions in March and April. I expect business will, at the least, be back to normal by summer.

The way this virus is spreading, it is probably a good thing not to congregate in groups and invite people into the studio for photos. You can be contagious before displaying any of the symptoms of the virus. It would be nearly impossible to ensure the studio was sanitized before and after each photo shoot. Especially with all of the backdrops, props, and equipment that is in the studio.

This is a short blog entry to ensure prospective, past, and current customers that Jim Walker Photography will be here to serve your needs when we come out the other side of this.

In the meantime, please take a look at my work with people at: www.jimwalkerphotography.comand my wildlife, landscape and travel photography at my jimwalkerphotography.smugmug.comIf I can be of service to you and your events, when we can get back to work, please let me know.

Here are a few samples of my work from past sessions:
