Tattoos and PhotographyDon't ask me why, but I find the personal art of Tattoos to be fascinating and beautiful. Most are worthy of capturing as worthy memories. I am one of the few people I know that retired with over 20 years in the U.S.Army and does not have a single tattoo. That does not effect my appreciation for the art. There is a wedding photographer I know, Val Bozzi, that is adorned with many tattoos. She agreed to come to my studio and let me photograph her art. This is a big deal! As I well know, many photographers do not feel particularly comfortable when the lens is pointed at them. I can not tell you how much I appreciated Val's willingness to visit my studio and step before my camera!
I am hoping, in months to come, that I can get other tattooed folks in front of my lens. If anyone reading this would like to have a visual record of your body art, please contact me at [email protected]. Photos of Val and my Model Portfolio can be seen at: Model Shots
Thank you for reading my blog. If you have any suggestions, or would like to see something discussed in the future, please let me know!
